“After a period of essential repairs following damage caused by Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Dendy Cinemas is delighted to announce the reopening of its flagship location, Dendy Coorparoo, on Wednesday, October 1.
The reopening marks the return of one of Brisbane’s most beloved cinema destinations, which has long been a hub for film lovers, families, and the wider community.
Sharon Strickland, CEO of Dendy Cinemas, said the team was eager to welcome guests back.
“We are beyond excited to have Dendy Coorparoo reopen its doors. Our team has worked tirelessly to bring the cinema back to life, and we can’t wait to see the foyer buzzing and the screens shining again. We’re especially grateful to our loyal Club Dendy members for their patience and support — as a thank you, we’ve extended all memberships by an additional 12 months, with tiers and points fully retained. This reopening is a celebration of community, resilience, and the joy of cinema.”
Cr Fiona Cunningham, Councillor for Coorparoo Ward also welcomed the reopening:
